Mallard Cake Dash

Raod Race - 10km or 5km

Trident Sports Events is proud to return to Westwood Lakes for the Mallard Cake Dash. A running event that is sure to be a hit with runners of all levels.

We invite you to join us for a road race of either 5km or 10km and will take you through picturesque Westgate Woods and Jenny's Wood. As you have come to expect with Trident Sports Events, we want to make sure that every entrant has an enjoyable experience and that’s why we provide a medal and chip timing for all participants, as well as a cake and hot drink to refuel.

Come and join us and enjoy a run through the stunning countryside and just to wet your appetite see a few examples of the stunning cakes The Mallard have to offer!

Event HQ and the hub for this fantastic event will be 'The Mallard' located in the grounds of Westwood Lakes, a beautiful and peaceful location just on the outskirts of Boston. Registration will take place outside the entrance this year to aid with congestion.

NEW for 2024, runners will start right outside the Mallard and head out off site. Westwood Lakes boasts 7 fishing lakes and 30 luxury holiday lodges many of which runners will pass as they head out of the complex. Heading left and in reverse to the course for 2023 all runners will head into Jennys Woods first before crossing the road and running around Westgate Woods. This will again be in reverse from the route taken in 2023.

All running will be on tarmac so no need to dig the trail shoes out, this run promises to be as scenic as it is fast. Once runners get to the end of the woods section the 5Km will head back onto the site through the service entrance and retrace their route from the start of the race.

It is at this point the 10Km face will head out on the road section of the race. As always all these races will not have a cut-off allowing everyone to thoroughly enjoy the experience whether they run, jog or walk without any pressure.
